Business book blog | Rules of the Lending Game

From the cover and the prologue, I felt that this book would be useful to both new property investors and those like me who have ended up as property investors without being as strategic as they probably should have been.

If I had to write down all the questions I might have as a property investor, Rules of the Lending Game answers them all, and in a way that is easy to understand. The book is structured in a way that is logical and makes it easy to be able to go back if you need to re-read a topic. Even as an accountant, and having previously managed commercial property portfolios, I still came away with several tips and ideas.

I liked the chapter key points summary at the end of the book. There was so much information that, if not for this summary, I would have needed to read the book several times to be sure I hadn’t missed key points. I would suggest that the reader has a pad and pen with them as they read the book to make notes, though, and to apply the strategies to their own circumstances.

There are examples throughout the book, but I would have liked more.  It is evident that Stuart knows property investing and lending very well, however at times I felt some concepts could be simplified further for the reader who does not know them as well as Stuart.

I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who is considering investing in property – both existing and first-time investors.  (I have already recommended the book to an investor.)
