John Sykes

John Sykes is undertaking a multidisciplinary doctorate at the Centre for Exploration Targeting, The University of Western Australia. The research combines geological, economic, sustainable development and strategic assessments of the future of copper mining and exploration.

He is also director of Greenfields Research, a consultancy specialising in the analysis of mining and exploration across the base, precious and specialty metals sectors.

John is a Fellow of the Geological Society of London (FGS), a Chartered Scientist (CSci) and a member of the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining (MIMMM), Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (MAusIMM) and the Australian Institute of Geoscientists (MAIG).
